The Challenge

An elite federal law enforcement agency needed to modernize an aging armory while accommodating a rapidly growing weapons inventory.

An influx of new rifles, shotguns, and handguns had pushed the existing storage system beyond its capacity. The mobile aisle system relied on outdated locker frames and door pockets that consumed valuable floor space, limiting the number of weapons that could be securely stored.

In addition, water damage had caused the plywood decking beneath the mobile aisle system to warp, affecting the performance and reliability of the entire system. The agency needed a solution that would increase storage capacity while restoring smooth, dependable operation.

The Solution

Tacform began with an on-site assessment, taking detailed measurements and evaluating the customer’s operational requirements before designing a custom storage solution.

To maximize the available space, we recommended our Expandable Weapon Rack System. Unlike traditional fixed-height lockers, the expandable design allowed the agency to utilize vertical space by storing weapons in three rows, dramatically increasing storage density within the existing footprint.

Our modular back panel system gave the customer complete flexibility to configure storage for rifles, shotguns, and handguns while maintaining organized, secure placement for every firearm.

As part of the modernization, Tacform removed the damaged plywood decking and upgraded the mobile aisle system to restore smooth operation and improve long-term reliability.

From delivery and installation to testing and final cleanup, Tacform managed every phase of the project to minimize downtime and ensure the armory was operational as quickly as possible.

The Result

The completed project increased the agency’s weapon storage capacity by approximately 66% without requiring additional floor space.

By replacing outdated locker components with Tacform’s Expandable Weapon Rack System and modernizing the mobile aisle infrastructure, the customer gained significantly more storage while improving organization and accessibility. The new heavy-duty track system and upgraded decking restored smooth, reliable operation, eliminating issues caused by the deteriorated original system.

The result is a modern, high-density armory storage solution that provides greater capacity, improved efficiency, and the flexibility to support future inventory growth.
